WHAT WAS asked FOR.
Every section of the brief, with how the build addresses it. Where direction has evolved since the brief landed, that's called out explicitly.
Background
CoveredSAE-ITC, SAE International (SAEI) and PRI are affiliated organisations driving innovation and safety in the aerospace mobility sector through standards and collaboration. SAE: global standards-setting + professional association. SAE-ITC: industry-led consortia for shared non-competitive aerospace challenges. PRI: accreditation, certification, training, supply-chain oversight.
Each org's positioning is reflected in its dedicated layer: SAE-ITC ‘Engineering Common Solutions’, SAE Int'l ‘Standards & Knowledge’, PRI ‘Quality & Certification’. The recommender threads programs across all three so visitors see the affiliation in action, not just stated.
Project objective
CoveredDevelop a modular interactive application/presentation showcasing key programs, products and services of the 3x affiliated orgs. First iteration on Aerospace; modular/future-proofing required to expand across other verticals (e.g. Ground Vehicle, each Org individually). Users drill down 2 or 3 steps before submitting their details, or receive a value-exchange compelling reason to find out more.
Three-affiliate selection portal, 19 data-driven program detail screens, content model that extends to additional verticals without code changes. Interaction depth is exactly 2–3 steps (home → affiliate grid → program detail → submit). The recommender is the value exchange.
The problem we need to solve
CoveredHistorically this idea has felt production prohibitive. We want to create a digital asset that feels exciting and demonstrates the breadth of ways each organisation impacts the entire aerospace industry. SAE was established in 1905 — together with the affiliates they bring wealth of knowledge, experience and innovation, but can sometimes feel a bit staid.
Splitlight's 5-month head start on the December prototype shifts the production-cost equation, that's why we can land at £11,500. The plane motif, recommender, and breadth of 19 programs counter the ‘staid’ perception by making the affiliation feel immediate and personal.
Audience
CoveredC-Suite, Decision-Makers. Aerospace Engineers, Quality and Compliance, Research, Government, Academia & Students.
Addressed via the recommender. Three role lanes (OEM / Compliance / Engineer) × three goals (Upskill / Ensure quality / Progress career) = 9 starting entry points, each routing to relevant programs across the three orgs. Naming + matrix to lock today.
Value offer
CoveredShared tagline/proposition: Driving Progress, Setting Standards, Protecting Quality. Supporting each org's goals and objectives.
Lead tagline on the home screen + threaded through section headlines using the SWC type pattern. Each org's individual goals surface inside their dedicated layer.
Proof points
CoveredImpacting and advancing every aspect of aerospace engineering.
19 programs surfaced across ITC, SAE Int'l, and PRI demonstrate the breadth in one place. The plane motif anchors ITC + SAE detail screens so the aerospace focus is visceral, not just stated.
Desired action
CoveredInteract, spark conversation and submit details.
Three-layer interaction (browse → drill → submit). Lead capture form with the recommender as personalised value exchange. Badge scanner + manual collect confirmed as the lead capture mechanism, with post-show CSV handover.
Tone of voice
CoveredClear, concise, inviting. We are representing 3 x individual brands.
SWC design system applied: Lato + Playfair italic for accent. Copy approach is direct, light, no jargon.
Since the briefDirection has shifted: instead of three separate brand treatments, you confirmed a single Fullsight brand identity covering all three orgs. Keeps the visual clean and is more honest to "we three together".
Mandatories
In flightFor touch screen use, considering portrait screen on booth.
Touch-first sizing (60–80px tap targets), idle reset, kiosk-hardened build (no nav chrome).
Since the briefHardware updated to 16:9 (single vs dual to confirm with the stand builder Monday). Portrait wireframes from the original Figma will be re-flowed.
Success realised
CoveredMVP / digital touch screen application for the event that can expand and evolve with the wider business.
Scoped as MVP for 20 July, with content data model and architecture deliberately built to evolve (additional verticals, CMS, analytics) post-show. The evolution lever lives in the contract structure, not in the build itself.
Budget
CoveredTBC.
£11,500 fixed. 40% on scope sign-off / 40% on UI complete (26 Jun) / 20% on delivery (13 Jul). All-in, scope-locked, no hourly billing.
Timings
CoveredWorking back from Farnborough show (20 July): Scope + budget by Thu 14 May. Discovery + interrogation UX by Wed 20 May. Wireframes + initial prototype by Fri 5 Jun. All client links + assets by Fri 5 Jun. Wireframe/logic + UI by Mon 15 Jun. Animations + graphics by Fri 19 Jun. Final production by Fri 26 Jun. Testing by Fri 10 Jul. Delivery to stand builder by 13 July.
Critical path adopted verbatim. The recommender and content rewrites can start earlier than 5 Jun if we get the inputs (suggesting content v2 pass by Fri 15 May). Stand-builder confirmation slot added Tue 19 May.
Deliverables (Phase 1)
CoveredPhase 1: Team/approach + scope and budget for approval. Plus walk-through of the client's wireframe/content Word doc.
This whole site is Phase 1: pitch page (deliverable overview), brief coverage (this page), working agenda (today's call), live log of decisions. SOW out for SWC signature Wed 13 May. Content doc internalised: every program from it is mapped in §03 below.
EVERY tile, ACCOUNTED FOR.
Mapped from the content-requirements document you supplied. 19 programs, plus the scaffolding around them.
